I thought it was mentioned in Quran that the child should not be weaned yet (less than 2 years of age) for the breastfeeding technique to work. Hence, a grown man who was breastfed will should not be considered as a family member. Anyway, talking about ridiculous fatwas, the Saudi officials mentioned that women sport is haram and prohibited. Correct me if I were wrong, didn't the Prophet (PBUH) say something about teaching the children (regardless of sex) horse back riding and target practice. I am no Imam, but these fatwas are complete jokes and aren't based of taqwa, instead their source is the manly ego that has their brains blocked! What a lame excuse to oppress women rights through the name of Allah, shame on you!

what can I say, it makes me sad at the sorry state we muslims have come to. i'm wondering, dont they have something better to address than issues like men mixing with women, women driving, women work..women women women..etc? why do they make it sound as if women are a burden or a shame, when are they gonna stop lookin at them as sexual objects only?

Rose, only fools make fools of self -- holds true for the silly Islamic scholars and those regular folk who believe Islam the silly Fatwas. IMO, continue to focus on the real Islam. Faisal, those are the REAL islamic scholars who are trusted and can be the guide for us Muslims to the right path. Not those of the suck and lick Fatawies that reflect , IMO, some sexual abnormaliteis in their personalies.
We didn't study Fiqh or Shariah or any sort of this. But any logical, normal and sane mind, won't accept that sickening Fatwa of Al Ubikan, 7asbiallah 3alihom for smearing the Islam's reputation. See the amount of jokes have been made of Islam cause of his Fatwa by non-muslims. But then again, carnal desires mixed with a Saudi sense of humour.
Dr.Al Haddad is the Mofti in Dubai. a very decent one.
